1.Who is responsible for your data

Akunudo L.L.C-FZ (United Arab Emirates) is the controller of personal data processed through the Akunudo platform. Contact us at corridor@akunudo.com.

2.What we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated through your use of the Platform:
  • Mandate & contact data — company name, contact name, email, phone, country/region, the products and volumes you wish to source, and related sourcing requirements.
  • Sourcing-assistant conversations — messages you send to our on-site assistant, which we use to respond and to understand demand for categories of products (we do not need, and ask you not to provide, sensitive personal or patient data).
  • Technical data — limited request metadata (such as a coarse rate-limit identifier) used to keep the service secure and available.

3.How we use it

We use your information to: run your mandate against our manufacturer network and present matches; facilitate and broker introductions; communicate with you about your mandate and deal room; operate, secure, and improve the Platform; understand aggregate demand so we can prioritise supply coverage; and meet legal and contractual obligations.

4.Legal bases

We process personal data in line with applicable data-protection law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, “PDPL”) where it applies to us. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performance of a contract or steps taken at your request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing a B2B sourcing service, your consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

5.How we share it

We do not sell your personal data and we do not market or resell your mandate. We share information only: with counterparties where you have asked us to facilitate an introduction and the applicable confidentiality/NDA framework is in place; with service providers who process data on our behalf under contract (for example, our email and cloud infrastructure providers, and the provider that powers our on-site assistant); and where required by law or to protect our rights and the integrity of the Platform.

6.International transfers

We operate across the Asia–Africa–Gulf corridor and use infrastructure and processors that may be located outside your country. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps intended to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

7.Retention

We keep mandate and contact data for as long as needed to provide the service, pursue or conclude the introduction, and meet legal, tax, and contractual obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it. Assistant-conversation demand signals are retained in aggregated, identity-stripped form.

8.Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to a confidential B2B service, including access controls and the anonymisation of counterparty identities until an agreement is executed. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and you share information with us at your own risk. In the event of a personal-data breach likely to cause harm, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected individuals as required by applicable law.

9.Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the UAE PDPL where it applies), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email corridor@akunudo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority (in the UAE, the UAE Data Office).

10.Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes take effect when posted with an updated date.

This document is a general template provided for transparency and should be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel (including for any GDPR/UAE PDPL specifics) before being relied upon.
